Finally! Finally got this pic up! 9_9
This is the Starscream costume I made for A-kon 14(2003). Actually I barely finished it in time. Completed it just enough to wear around the convention about 2 hours before the Saturday night Masquerade. *phew* Its basically a bunch of assorted junk(craft foam, cardboard, foam core board and uphostery foam) covered in spandex fabric with lots and lots of hot glue holding it together. ^^;;

It is a shiny red thin spandex fabric. It is actually the reverse side of the same fabric I used for the torso pieces.
At the fabric store, I held up different fabrics to my eyes to make sure I could see through it. A spandex like I used is really hard to find, I just lucked out. I would really suggest trying a red foil lamé fabric. I tend to use that type of fabric very often for character eyes. It comes in many colors, is paintable, and easy to see through.

Wow...a costume made from a spandex-covered frame? That came out pretty well. Nice job on the details, especially with the wings, head, and torso. Was it hard to move around in?
