Grima Wormtongue Cosplay

My Grima Wormtongue costume...
*adoring sigh*
I love this costume very much! ^__^ And its not just a love for the costume itself... Its love for the character and the actor who plays him.
I made the bulk of this costume in 60 hours spanning 3 days. (Sleep? Whats that Precious? Whats sleep, eh? X_X) I decided to torture myself like that because about a week before the Dallas Comic Con I learned that Brad Dourif had been added to the guest list. You see, I had originally planned to make and wear the Grima costume for a much later convention, but when I found out my favorite actor that I've admired since I was 8 years old was going to be there, I had to drop the current costume I was finishing up for Comic Con(Frodo) and sew like a maniac to finish Grima decently enough to wear to the con and show Mr. Dourif just how much I appreciated him.
As for meeting him... it was the greatest, happiest moment of my life. He was very kind to me and let me know just how impressed he was with my costume. I was ecstatic and was very lucky I was able to speak to him as much as I did. We talked about some of the similar problems we had getting around in the costume and he even gave me tips on Grima posing and posture. ^__^
I've improved my costume greatly since that weekend in October and the picture above is of how the costume currently appears. I will continue to update the costume due to a strange mixture of devotion and an insane need for perfection.
I only wish that my costume had looked as nice as it does in this photo back when I met Brad Dourif. I can only hope that I will be able to meet him again sometime soon with my costume looking its absolute best.

A big thanks goes out to my dear sister RedVamp for taking the time to photograph me. And I must bow down and kiss her fetish boots for the wonderful job she did getting just the right angles to bring out my inner Grima/Dourif-ness. ;P
