Hello,
I'm Jace Moore.

I'm a costumier. If you want to call me cosplayer, then that's fine too, but over all, I'm much more interested in the technical aspects of costume making.

I am also a fan artist... And I do a large amount of yaoi/shounen-ai related art. Yes, there is Yaoi and Shounen-ai art in my gallery!
So if you've come to my page to look at my costumes, and you don't like yaoi, then please just stick to the "costumes and cosplay" folder - [link] .
I'm a nice guy, but my patience is wearing thin for people who come to my page to look at something like Starscream or Green Goblin, then complain about my male x male themed drawings.

Much lost, almost nothing gained.
Yes, I definitely should have skipped A-kon this year. It added too many complications to what was already going on. Ended up being a very unnecessary expenditure of resources Kurai and I didn't really have.
80% of the problem was in the timing, really. That's what is mainly so sad about it!. I'm sure it wouldn't have been so bad for Kurai and me if the con had occurred 3 or 4 weeks from now. I feel it would have been down right awesome actually... but that's my luck, as usual. :heartbreaker:
Nearly everything that could have gone wrong for us did. It was a fantastic example of Murphy's Law that's for sure.
All weekend I felt like I was pounded with the messages...
"It's time to quit going to conventions." :surrender:
"It's time to retire from cosplay." :sadangel:
...and apparently...
"Everything relating to Yugioh GX only brings Kurai and me more bad luck and pain." :trash: (yeah, definitely taking a long vacation from that fandom. Sorry guys.)

The most enjoyable times for me had absolutely nothing to do with that convention! Thank you Malindachan, Ex-Shadow and Brokenlevel for giving me those moments! (All I can say is the Commercial Mega Mix pwns! Seriously!) Aside from that, all I want to do is forget about this year's A-kon. :stupidme:

So, I'm looking forward to AnimeFEST then. I honestly do have a more enjoyable experience there, so if that convention comes out badly then I'll know for sure that it's time to quit attending conventions. At least take a serious break from them for a couple of years. Right now they really don't have all that much purpose in my life anyway... and are obviously not providing me with much fun, and not any fun that I couldn't have for free elsewhere! 9_9 And sadly, as a whole, conventions have been strangling the life out of my interest in costume making and cosplaying for many years now. :crying: Of course that is an interest I don't wish to lose and certainly not under such irritating circumstances!
Which is why I'm really looking forward to some upcoming non-convention related photo-shoots! Hopefully those will help save my rapidly eroding interest in the costuming art. :please:

So for now, its back to work... and work... and work... and the dentist. :dead:
